Michigan mom, Bianca Russell said that, “I WILL protect him [her son] from this sick world” and she meant it. With COVID-19 lingering in the air, she designs and makes face masks for children. The masks are available with social justice messages that will bring tears to a parent’s eyes. They include statements such as, “Stop Killing Us,” “I’m Not A Threat,” and “Black Lives Matter.” She sells these masks for $10 on her Facebook page and if you want one, you’ll have to inbox her.
It’s a darn shame that we need to conceive messages like this for our children to wear but like Georgina Dukes wrote, “When My Beautiful Black Boy Grows from Cute to a Threat” is real.
Face masks should not be used on children under two-years old.
