Job Description

The Black Parenting Academy, part of Successful Black Parenting Magazine, is seeking a creative and motivated intern to support digital marketing, content creation, and basic web page updates. This role helps maintain and build course and event pages, as well as promotional content, for the Academy and magazine websites.

This internship is ideal for students or recent graduates interested in marketing, content strategy, web design, or AI-assisted creative work.

Responsibilities

• Create and update web pages for courses, masterclasses, and digital products
• Build event and registration pages for virtual workshops and meetups
• Create and schedule social media and email marketing content
• Support ongoing marketing campaigns and content calendars
• Assist with copywriting for posts, pages, and promotions
• Collaborate on AI-assisted content development
• Research potential partners and outreach opportunities
• Attend virtual team meetings and trainings

Qualifications

• Enrolled in or a recent graduate from a Marketing, Communications, Business, Journalism, Education, or related program
• Strong writing and editing skills
• Interest or basic experience in digital marketing, content creation, or web design
• Familiarity with WordPress, Wix, Canva, or similar tools preferred
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
• Reliable internet access
• Passion for supporting Black families and communities
