Looking for a message of hope for children and young readers? Look no further than Presidential inaugural poet and #1 New York Times bestselling author Amanda Gorman’s latest literary project, collaborating with Caldecott Honor and Coretta Scott King Honor illustrator Christian Robinson. The children’s book, titled “Something, Someday,” is set to be released on September 26, 2023, and is available for pre-order on Penguin Random House’s website for $18.99.

In a recent announcement, Viking Children’s Books described “Something, Someday” as a message of hope about the power of making a difference in a troubled world.

Gorman, who gained international acclaim for her poem “The Hill We Climb” at President Joe Biden’s inauguration in 2021, said in a statement that she wrote the book “to show that though it might be difficult when we work together, even the smallest acts of kindness can lead to the largest positive change.”

Illustrator Christian Robinson, who has worked on books including “Last Stop on Market Street” and “The Bench,” said in a statement that “Amanda Gorman’s words offer us a much-needed balm, with healing properties of honesty, hope, and community care. This book was an honor to illustrate, and it’s my hope that it encourages young readers to be the change they want to see in the world.”

Gorman’s previous bestsellers include a book edition of “The Hill We Climb,” the poetry collection “Call Us What We Carry,” and the children’s book “Change Sings.” Don’t miss your chance to pre-order “Something, Someday” and share in Gorman and Robinson’s message of hope and positivity.
