Going to grandma’s house? Let the little one pack her own luggage in this Lela suitcase from the UK, called a trolley case in good old England. This suitcase has a whimsical drawing of a Black girl with Afro-puffs! Designed by a dad for his children.
The idea was born when a proud father of a beautiful newborn baby girl went out looking for something special to buy for his little princess. He came across a few items of merchandise for young girls with animated characters on them, none of which represented his daughter. After making this discovery, he went home to his wife and expressed his
disappointment. So using her creative flair they set out on a journey to develop a character to which young African and Caribbean girls could relate (Lela & Mosi website).
Unfortunately, there’s not a Mosi suitcase to choose from yet, but there are backpacks available on their website.
Did you know Lela in Swahili means Black beauty? We feel a new baby trend is about to take off here!
To purchase the Lela suitcase, visit the Lela & Mosi website. They ship internationally, and you can use coupon code LELATROLLEY20 for 20% off the suitcase. It costs about $40.71 US. Use your coupon before it expires on July 31, 2016.
