Following a series of community meetings this week, Atlanta Public Schools (APS) officials have released a comprehensive safety and engagement roadmap for the upcoming 2026 Spring Break. The initiative aims to provide students with secure, supervised activities across the metro area while school is out of session.

The program, dubbed “Safe Springs 2026,” includes partnerships with local recreation centers and non-profit organizations to offer free workshops, sports leagues, and educational seminars. According to APS spokespeople, the goal is to foster a supportive environment for youth during the week-long hiatus.

At Successful Black Parenting, we recognize that student safety and community engagement are top priorities for local families. This update follows recent state-level discussions regarding youth development grants in Georgia.

Parents are encouraged to check the official APS portal for a full list of participating locations and registration deadlines for the various Spring Break programs.
