It’s a cat’s world, and there’s a DOG living in it! Okay, he’s a wanna-be Samurai, and the cats aren’t having it, or maybe they are? An underdog named “Hank” might just be the savior for a small town with lots of cats. But if the evil villain has his way, Hank and the feline village might just disappear forever.
Paws of Fury, The Legend of Hank pounces into movie theaters nationwide on Friday, July 15th, 2022, and features celebrities like Samuel L. Jackson, Djimon Hounsou, Mel Brooks, George Takei, Aasif Mandvi, Gabriel Iglesias, Michelle Yeoh, Kylie Kuioka, and Cathy Shim. The movie is rated PG and is an outing that your whole family will enjoy.
The movie had a good amount of humor that got the adults laughing, and the kids get the jokes too.
The movie is a bit long for very young children and seems best suited for ages five and up. Also, Samuel L. Jackson had us, parents, holding our breath with his spicy words that were benign but included referencing “NWA” in his dialogue, which changed to “Ninjas With Attitude.”
My family loved the movie, which made subtle references to the differences between cats and dogs, and the way society sees racial differences. The final moral to the story is that although we are different, we may need each other and can get along and work together to defeat the common enemy.
We attended the movie premiere full of activities and fun, which you can see on our social media pages. Your child can join in on some of the martial arts skills by perfecting their Samauri skills as Hank with this game on the movie’s website.
