Supermodel Sessilee Lopez-Holmes’ Winter Wonderland Baby Shower

January 15, 2018

January 15, 2018

This is how a supermodel does a baby shower. Mom-to-be, supermodel Sessilee Lopez-Holmes and her husband David Holmes celebrated at Chef Roblé Ali’s “Streets” restaurant in Brooklyn last year on January 16th. Chef Roblé Ali is a friend of the model and a renowned celebrity chef who starred in the Bravo network reality show, “Chef Roblé and Co.”.

Lopez-Holmes has walked the catwalk for almost every major fashion designer internationally, graced magazine pages and covers, including the famous Vogue Italia’s Black Issue where she appeared on 30-plus interior pages and on one of the four landmark covers that sold out and had to be reprinted. You may have seen her on television walking the runway as a Victoria’s Secret model.

Roblé’s sister, Jasmine Ali, designed the winter wonderland decor which gave a pink and purplish hue to the room while adding an elegant and upscale feel to the party. Although not announced, the pink pastel revealed to the guests that the couple was expecting a girl.

The tables were adorned with white and pink Hydrangeas, accented with frosty branches. There were frosted live pine trees aligning the cake station that gave the room a fresh holiday aroma.

This was an intimate setting with family and friends. The party was hosted by her two sisters. A few traditional baby shower games were played with the guests but the concentration was on the food and the mother-to-be, who was glowing as she opened her gifts.

The winter wonderland decor set the mood with pink and purplish hues while adding an elegant upscale feel to the party.

Chef Roblé served hors d’oeuvres of Arancini with Octopus and Seafood Aiöli and Pork Belly Chicharrón with Tamarind Glaze Em Ups. There was an entire four-course exotic sit-down meal served to the guests along with the main course of Brazilian Churrasco that offered guests the choice of steak, chicken or vegetables. The meal was topped off with the purple baby shower cake for dessert.

The new mommy didn’t let her pregnancy cramp her style. Lopez-Holmes wore an Azzedine Alaïa dress, Valentino heels, Kate Spade bangles, and Cartier jewelry to her winter wonderland baby shower.

Not everyone does a baby shower quite like this but it may give you some simple ideas that can be reasonably reproduced for your next shower.
