It’s always great to see literature in our own image and Marvel has a new preteen superhero named Lunella, who is also a super genius. Love it! Talking about seeing more women in science and technology fields, Lunella also known as “Moon Girl,” is just that. She is a spunky little budding scientist and inventor.

The first in the series of Moon Girl comics is “Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur.” Lunella creates a “Kree” detector and actually finds a Kree, which seems to be a glowing green time-transporter. The comic describes it as an ancient “sacred nightstone” that opens up a portal, letting cavemen and the Devil Dinosaurs into modern day times. These creatures are running loose in the city and the only question is, will Lunella be able to save the day?

You can order Moon Girls comics on Amazon.com in print for $16.88 and electronically on Kindle for $3.99.
